Enabling 2FA for Gmail:
- Open your web browser and go to the Gmail website (www.gmail.com).
- Sign in to your Gmail account using your email address and password.
- Click on your profile picture or initial icon located in the top-right corner of the Gmail interface.
- In the drop-down menu, click on “Manage your Google Account.” This will take you to your Google Account settings.
- From the left-hand side menu, click on “Security” to access the security settings.
- Under the “Signing in to Google” section, locate and click on “2-Step Verification” or “Two-Step Verification.”
- You may be prompted to enter your password again for security purposes.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to set up 2FA for your Gmail account. This typically involves choosing a verification method, such as receiving codes via SMS, using a Google Authenticator app, or using a physical security key.
- Once you’ve selected and configured your preferred verification method, click on “Turn On” or “Enable” to activate 2FA for your Gmail account.
