Enabling 2FA for Gmail

Enabling 2FA for Gmail:

  1. Open your web browser and go to the Gmail website (www.gmail.com).
  2. Sign in to your Gmail account using your email address and password.
  3. Click on your profile picture or initial icon located in the top-right corner of the Gmail interface.
  4. In the drop-down menu, click on “Manage your Google Account.” This will take you to your Google Account settings.
  5. From the left-hand side menu, click on “Security” to access the security settings.
  6. Under the “Signing in to Google” section, locate and click on “2-Step Verification” or “Two-Step Verification.”
  7. You may be prompted to enter your password again for security purposes.
  8. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up 2FA for your Gmail account. This typically involves choosing a verification method, such as receiving codes via SMS, using a Google Authenticator app, or using a physical security key.
  9. Once you’ve selected and configured your preferred verification method, click on “Turn On” or “Enable” to activate 2FA for your Gmail account.
